Sizes & Cuts

How do I choose my boubou size?

Consult our size guide to find the ideal fit. Our boubous are generally loose and flowing, designed to adapt to different body types. If you hesitate between two sizes, we recommend taking the larger size for more comfort. Feel free to contact us via WhatsApp for personalized advice.

Are boubous suitable for all body types?

Yes. The boubou is inherently an inclusive and adaptable garment. Our loose cuts in glazed linen, shantung, or silk are designed to enhance all figures, from size 36 to 50. The fluidity of noble materials ensures an elegant drape regardless of your body type.

Do you offer outfits for men?

Yes, we offer a men's collection with classic bazin and glazed linen boubous. We also have matching couple outfits for weddings and ceremonies.

Materials & Care

What materials do you use for your boubous?

Our boubous are handcrafted in Dakar using noble materials selected for their quality and drape: glazed linen (our signature, light and shiny), shantung silk (refined texture), satin (silky sheen), organza (delicate transparency), and rich bazin (classic West African). Each fabric is chosen for its drape and durability.

How do I care for my embroidered boubou?

To preserve the embroidery and fabric quality: hand wash or machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a delicate cycle, in a laundry net. Use a mild detergent without bleaching agents. Air dry flat, never tumble dry. Iron inside out at a medium temperature. For gold thread embroidery, dry cleaning is recommended. Consult our complete care guide for more details.

What is the difference between a boubou and a bazin?

A boubou refers to the garment's cut (a traditional West African loose dress), while bazin refers to the fabric (shiny damask cotton, often dyed and starched). A boubou can be made of bazin, glazed linen, silk, or other materials. Discover our detailed article on the differences.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return an item that does not suit you. The item must be unworn, unwashed, with its original tags. Returns are free in mainland France. Contact us via WhatsApp or email to obtain your return label. Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days after receipt of the returned package.

Can I exchange an item for a different size?

Yes, size exchanges are possible subject to availability. Contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will send you the new size upon receipt of the original item. Re-shipping costs are at our expense in mainland France.

Occasions & Ceremonies

Which boubou to choose for an African wedding?

For a wedding, we recommend our glazed linen or shantung silk collections with hand embroidery. Pastel tones (nude, powder pink, sky blue) are perfect for guests, while vibrant shades (gold, burgundy, emerald) are suitable for traditional ceremonies. Discover our wedding collection and our selection guide.

Do you have outfits for Eid (Korité / Tabaski)?

Yes, each year we prepare a special Eid collection with festive boubous in limited editions. We recommend ordering 3 to 4 weeks in advance to guarantee timely delivery. Consult our Eid outfit guide.
